Technology

CBCT scan

In our office, we use 3D cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). It is imaging technology that allows dentists to evaulate the underlying bone structure, as well as the nerve pathways and surrounding soft tissues. It also helps with implant planning/ placement, surgical guidance, and avoid any possible complications that may occur during implant positioning.

LANAP = Laser Assisted Regeneration (LAR)

Our office offers an FDA-cleared laser treatment called LANAP (Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure). This new protocol is less painful and more successful than conventional surgery. LANAP=LAR is the only scientifically proven methodology that results in true periodontal regeneration, new bone growth, and gum tissue reattachement. The laser treatment is one of the most successful protocol in treating gum disease because it can target the source of the inflammation without hurting or removing any healthy gum tissue, slow or stop attachement loss and decrease pocket depth, and allows the body to recover from the chronic infection without the need for scalpel or sutures.

Benefits of laser treatment:

1. Less pain

2. Less bleeding

3. Less sensitivity

4. Less gum loss

5. Less swelling

6. Very little downtime after treatment

7. Less Post-op complications

8. Promotes regeneration of supporting gum tissues

9. Faster healing and more comfortable than traditional periodontal surgery

10. Removal of dark spots in the mouth
